Custom Product Banners

This mod allows you to add a banner to any product page, for managing product-specific banners! This mod is useful for allowing vendors to advertise on pages where their products appear, for instance, XYZ company manufacturers product "thing" which you sell. You may allow XYZ company to put a banner on the product page which links back to their own website.

Another use is in combination with our "In-house Affiliates/Vendors" mod by Milos. For a fee, you may allow your affiliate vendors to place their banner on their product pages.

This mod is useful for any purpose you can imagine to use product-specific banners at your site!

Fully configurable in Admin Control Panel, the mod usage instructions will highlight the powerful features of this mod:

• The mod will automatically update your store database, and you should
see a message indicating this. If the update is unsuccessful, please

• Set the status to "Enabled" and press "Edit Config" button

• Choose "yes" or "no" for showing banners in storefront. When mod is
enabled and this is set to "no", you will be able to manage banners in
add/edit product pages in Admin Control Panel without having the banners
appear in store front end. Note that when mod is disabled you cannot
manage any banners. When you set this to yes, any product banners can be
set for customers to see in store front end.

• Set target for banner links. Banner links may be opened in a new window or tab,
or may be opened in the same window, your choice.

• Enabling "Currently Set Banners" section will create a gallery of all currently
set banners at bottom of this configuration page. You may click on any banner to
go to the edit product page in order to manage the banner settings.

• Enabling the "Easy Upload Feature" allows you to use the mod's built-in upload
browser, that uploads images to the store's images/productBanners folder. If you use
FTP instead you may want to disable this upload browser for security purposes.

• Click "Edit Config" to save any changes you have made.

ADDING BANNERS TO PRODUCTS
*************************************************************

>> Navigate to Catalog > View pRODUCTS

• Locate any PRODUCT that you want to add a banner for, and go to the edit product page

• Near the bottom of the edit product page, you will see the new section for managing banners.

• Put in the exact name of an image file that exists in the images/productBanners folder. The
name is case sensitive, it must be the exact name of any image there, like "banner_image.jpg"
If Easy Upload is enabled, you will see a button for uploading an image from this page if need be.

• Add a link for the banner, in this format, "http://www.domainName.com/"

• Add an ALT text for the banner. This is the text that will be shown if for any reason the image
cannot be shown in a user's browser. Note that search engines read alt texts for images in search
of keywords.

• Add a TITLE text for the banner. This is the text that will be shown as a "tool tip" when a mouse
cursor is placed on the image.

• Enable the banner for this product if you want it to appear immediately in your store front end. Note
that the "Show Banners in Storefront?" setting on the module configuration page must also be set to
yes before banners appear in storefront.

• You must click Add Product or Edit Product button for banner settings to be addd or changed.

End of Line Specials CC4

This mod enables you to set a number of products to appear in a vertical list on the homepage. You choose how many products to show in the box, easily change the title of the box, whether to show the name and/or the price. Also, you set the sort order by price, name, product id or random on each page refresh. The mod is fully and powerfully configured in the store admin settings.

This mod is useful for showcasing clearance items or any special group of products that you determine.

Rugged Western Design CC4

Rugged Western Design for CC4. This design has several trick features that require some modding of core files. The modded files do not affect the function of other skins, but add functionality common to my new "Special Skins" series.

Deluxe Javascript Slideshow CC3

This mod includes two slideshows for CubeCart 3: A products slideshow that rotates product thumbnails in a sidebox at your site, and a homepage slideshow that rotates 10 custom images that you create to show on the homepage of your store. See the mod in action here.

I. CONFIGURING HOMEPAGE SLIDESHOW

>> Navigate to Modules > 3rd Party > Homepage Slideshow > Configure

• The mod will automatically update your store database, and you should

• Set the slideshow size in pixels. There are three important matters here.
First, the size should be appropriate for the skin of your store, so that
it will fill the space properly. Second, the images you assign to the slideshow
should be the exact same dimensions as you have set for the slideshow here.
Third, all of the images should be the same size. Oddball mixed sizes will not
look as good in your slideshow.

• Set the slideshow speed in milliseonds. This determines how
long each slide shows before rotating.

• Set the fade background color. Note, this option is not available when you
have both a product slideshow and homepage slideshow working simultaneously
at your store, because the product slideshow background is more important to set.
This fade background color should be set to match the background of the page
where the slideshow operates. It helps make a clean transistion between slides,
especially important if the slides are odd sizes. It is best to make ALL
slideshow images the exact same size, and use a matching size setting for the
show itself, as mentioned above.

• Set whether or not to pause the slideshow on mouseover.

• Once you have created Slideshow images, upload them to your store's
images/slides directory. Most effective way to do this is through FTP client.

• Default image setting: You should first add a default image, this image will
be shown if any image assigned to the slideshow is non-existent or configured
incorrectly.

• Add images by typing in the image file name (example.jpg, example.gif) and also
typing in a link for the image if desired.

• Use any one of the Edit Config buttons to save your configuration.

II. CONFIGURING PRODUCTS SLIDESHOW

• The mod will automatically update your store database, and you should
see a message indicating this. If the update is unsuccessful, please
contact our helpdesk at CC3.biz before proceeding.

• Set the status to "Enabled" and press "Edit Config" button

• Change title of Slideshow if desired

• Set the slideshow speed (1000 = 1 second; each slide will display
1 second before fading; 4000 = 4 seconds, etc.)

• Set "Number of slides to show:" to the maximum number of
slides you want to rotate. Be sure to enable at least the same
number of products to show in the slideshow.

    Special Note a. You should set this to the same number or less
    than the number of products that have been set to include
    in slideshow. You could have 1,000 products set to include in
    slideshow, yet only 10 to show in ACP and this is fine.

    Special Note b. You should avoid setting this number very high.
    A resonable maximum number of slides to show is usually 20 or so
    depending on image sizes, server speeds, etc. A large number of
    slides may greatly slow down your page loads and frustrate your
    customers.

• Set the background color for fade effects. This needs to be
exactly the same color as is in the box in which you are
displaying the slideshow.

• Choose whether to display the product names below the image in your
slideshow. If you choose yes, you should also choose a size for the space
in which the text will appear. This will vary according to the lengths of
your product names, so you may fine-tune and adjust the size of this space.
A default value is set, so leave the default values and check the slideshow,
then adjust the space as necessary.

• An option is given to remove styles from the product name. This feature
has been included because the Carreta skins in CubeCart 4 do not use styles
on the product name, and skins based on Carreta skins may also look better
if the styles are removed. Use this by trial and error to see which setting
looks best in your slideshow.

• Choose whether you want the slideshow to pause on mouseover.

• Choose whether to randomize the slide list. If no, the slides will always
rotate in the order they appear in the database. If yes, then each time you
start the slideshow afresh, a random order for the slides will be created.
The slides will then rotate in that new random order indefinitely. Each time
the page is refreshed and slideshow newly created, a new random order will
be made for the slidelist.

• Choose whether to enable Global Database Utilities.

• Choose whether to enable the Currently Set to Show feature.

• Click "Edit Config" to save any changes you have made.

This mod will allow you to add unlimited files to products on your store, this is handy if you would like your customers to download free digital products without registering. It can also be used for manuals, tech sheets, drivers etc for products. A handy tool for customers that may require documentation with your products.

You can add any number of files to each product and have full control over which file goes with which product.
It is controlled totally through admin, you simply click the add file link and upload the file calling it what ever you want it to appear as on product then you click the manage files button to assign file to product.

This slideshow mod adds a slideshow in main content area of your store's homepage, see it in action here

You create 10 images as ads for your store, and assign the images and links through admin control panel. Slideshow size is fully configurable in admin area.

Favorite Products Slideshow CC4

This mod will add a fading slideshow in a sidebox in your store's front end, showing product image thumbnails as slides. The mod is fully configurable in admin section.

You can change the slideshow title, the slideshow speed, background color, number of slides to rotate, whether or not to show product names beneath the images, whether or not to pause the show on mouseover, and whether or not to randomize the showlist.

The CC4 version contains some powerful and helpful new features, like global database utilities related to the slideshow and a gallery of all images that are set to show, wich are linked to the edit product page associated with each image.

This has been a very popular mod in CC3, now published and improved for CC4.3.0

Video Management for CubeCart 3

This mod adds a video section to your CubeCart 3 store. Videos can be categorized in unlimited number of categories or subcategories that you create.

Enter the video section through a link in the "shop by categories" box on your site.

This mod does not embed videos on the product page, we have a separate mod for that. This mod also does not add videos "as a product" for sale through your store. This mod does add a categorized video section to your store so that your visitors may navigate to and watch any videos you add.

Embedded Video on Product Page CC4

This mod allows you to add video presentations to any product. You may add code to embed a video player on the product page. Video code is added in the add/edit product screen of admin section.

Adding video to the product automatically adds a video link to that product in Latest products area and in the product lists for the viewCat pages. Also, a player is embedded on the actual product page at the page bottom.

Clicking any video links in Latest Products or product lists will take your visitor directly to the video section of product page.

In-House Affiliates/Vendors CC4

This In-House Affiliates Module allows you to form loose partnerships by taking on Affiliates who may sell their goods in your store.

The mod tracks sales of affiliate products and provides earnings totals. It provides limited Administration permissions for your affiliates so they may add products and images to the store, and control only their own products, and view their own product sales and earnings. If mod feature New Product Approval is enabeld, only approved products (by main store admin) are shown! Main store admin can disable all products of any affiliate member by one click. Percentage earnings are configurable by the main store administrator, and may vary from one affiliate to the next, depending on the agreement you make with each affiliate. Affiliates may recieve email notification each time one of their products is sold, if email notification is desired.

There is also an option to reduce gross sales by an agreed amount to cover store overhead costs. Here is an example of how this works:

EXAMPLE. You use a payment gateway such as PayPal, which exacts a fee on each sale transaction. You agree with your affiliate that the gateway costs will be shared by store and affiliate, so gateway fees are subtracted from gross sales, then the net amount is split between affiliate and store according to agreed percentage. The program can be setup to subtract an average amount for store overhead, or with additional programming can be set up to subtract actual gateway fees. The mod includes programming for the PayPal gateway, to fetch actual fees from PayPal sales and subtract them from gross affiliate sales as overhead , configurable if so desired.

The mod also provides print-friendly versions of sales reports for printing hard copies of affiliate records.

Affiliates are paid "manually." The store main admin can select a period for viewing affiliate earnings totals, then pay affiliate appropriately. This allows the main Admin to check sales statistics and records before authorizing payment for affiliate sales.

This mod is perfect for those personal partnerships with others who have talent to contribute to the overall service and product line of your store.

Bookmark Our Site

This mod will allow your visitors to bookmark your site by clicking a link. It adds a special bookmark in FireFox to a custom store page that opens in the FireFox sidebar.

Full description: This mod adds a simple link at your site that allows a visitor to click and add your store website to their favorites menu. In FireFox, bookmarks added this way do not open in a tab but only in a sidebar, so the genius of this mod is that it contains a very small version of your homepage that gets bookmarked for anyone using FireFox. The page is customizable through the admin settings interface, and when links are clicked in the sidebar, the appropriate page from your store is loaded into a regular browser tab.
